So far we’ve only had one user report problems, but we want to make sure that we can help people as much as possible if something should go wrong.

So what was the problem, you ask? We really do not know, we got a request for assistance from a user, and after sending details to him he responded that he had solved it himself and recommended the two plugins which are listed on above help page.

New theme
The move deserved a new theme, and unless you are reading this in your RSS feed reader, you should see the new design. It is based on the theme named ColdStone by ElegantThemes.

New plugin
As I am writing this, I am also putting the finishing touches on the next version of the WordPress plugin, version 0.90. This new version has a LOT of new things added, so stay tuned for the release post where I will go into more detail what has been added.

We have passed the 50.000 indexed blogposts mark last night. The more users, the faster it goes.

New forum
A new forum has been installed, due to limitations in the previous forum software. Unfortuantely that means the previous posts have been removed. I have promised to see if I can implement them again.

The new server is now up and running, and all data has been transferred. There will be a slight “loss of data” during the move whilst the DNS-servers update around the world, but the data will be added again later.

There has been installed a new forum, I have yet to figure out how to bring the old forum posts into the new forum, but I will do my best to move the data over.

There will be a new design shortly, pending adding the final touches to the base design.

I have purchased the new server, and as soon as its ready, I will upgrade and move to the new server. This means there might be a few minor problems during the move.

This also means I am forced to move quicker with the monitization of the project.

At first, I will add banner advertising to this site, the well-known 125×125 banners, which will start off being priced at a VERY low price, I expect $5 initially per month (nofollow links only). This price is sure to increase very fast, so if you are interested, I suggest you start advertising as soon as possible

I will add the advertising to the site once the server-move has been done, but in order to get an idea of the interest, please send an e-mail or leave a comment if you are interested in advertising here.

Note: As I mention earlier, all links will be nofollow’ed, no porn, illegal, racist or any advertising that can be deemed offensive or inappropriate will be allowed on this site.

As always, I waited a little bit to ensure that most kinks were discovered and fixed, but it seems there has been no issues for a while, so I decided to upgrade.

The reason for this was also that I upgraded a couple of my test blogs to test the LinkLaunder WordPress plugin with the new version, to ensure it works with version 2.7

So, in just over a month, we have 20.000 more blogposts in the system, all poised to link to interesting and related blogposts.

The more who join, the more power we have to distribute links between the users.

I am excited to see where we are in a month from now. In the mean time development of the plugin will continue rapidly, and just recently I added statistics for the users. I will add more information than there is now, but for now it will bring a better view of how well indexed people are and how many backlinks they have received quite automatically..

The amount of information is limited at the moment, but I will add a bit more detail in due time.

The detailed statistics will only be available to the PRO users, which will be enabled as soon as possible.

The security issue is an XSS exploit discovered by Jeremias Reith that fortunately only affects IP-based virtual servers running on Apache 2.x. If you are interested only in the security fix, copy wp-includes/feed.php and wp-includes/version.php from the 2.6.5 release package.

2.6.5 contains three other small fixes in addition to the XSS fix. The first prevents accidentally saving post meta information to a revision. The second prevents XML-RPC from fetching incorrect post types. The third adds some user ID sanitization during bulk delete requests. For a list of changed files, consult the full changeset between 2.6.3 and 2.6.5.

Note that we are skipping version 2.6.4 and jumping from 2.6.3 to 2.6.5 to avoid confusion with a fake 2.6.4 release that made the rounds. There is not and never will be a version 2.6.4.

It simply did not work. We were forced to go back to another, simpler, forum, which should do the trick, and which after being tested, seems to work just fine.

At the top right you can see the the number of active users and the number of posts that have been indexed across the network. The stats change second by second whenever a new post is created or visited in the system.

We will update the live stats to include more information eventually, right now its just a way for you to see the number of stats increase day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute ….

(Remember, each user can install the WordPress Plugin on as many blogs as he/she desires, there are no limits)!
