Version 0.75 of my LinkLaunder plugin for WordPress has just been released on to the range of sites I use for betatesting.
The test that ran over the past month has shown that Yahoo at least has picked up on the term “WordPress SEO” and “WordPress SEO plugin” which are some random links that I have added to the system. They are now dispersed throughout the network, and all link back to this homepage with above anchor text.
Adding that little feature to the system has been quite a timesaver when I want to introduce new sites. It is very easy to add a few well-thought text links to the database, and then the LinkLaunder system will randomly assign it.
It means it is possible to service external homepages via this system, and is one of the reasons why I will release access to this system for free. Having a fleet of blogs that with 1% chance will link to one of the sites in the list is not a lot, but it does give it some flexibility. I have hardcoded the propability to be 1%, meaning that with 99% propability, they will link to other, relevant, blogposts in the network. Can you live with those ods? I can
The current stats right now:
Total urls in the database:20.050
Total links spread to other domains:715
The first line indicates how many different blogposts that are indexed in the system, and that are ready to receive a relevant link. The second line is how many posts have actually gotten a link, and who are now no longer communicating with my core server.
Imagine that, there are now over 19.000 different urls in the system, ready to spread deeplink-love to any new members in the network.
I will not inform of how many individual blog/domains that are in the system, that information will not be publicly available until way after the system goes live.
